Who is the contact person on enrolment to the day activity
centre?
The Person-in-charge of enrolment matters is our Programme Manager. Please contact
him at 64409740/44/45. He will arrange for a functional level assessment for your child/ward.
Do we have to be Christians before
we can enrol our child/ward?
No, you need not be Christians. We take in clients regardless of their religious backgrounds and beliefs. However, our curriculum contains Bible principles and teachings, thus you must be willing for your child/ward to be exposed to our Christian emphasis. One of our fundamental beliefs is that people with disabilities are precious to God. We teach our clients that God accepts and loves them as much as other individuals.
Do you take in foreigners?
We do take in foreigners holding dependant pass.
How much are the fees?
From S$250 to S$400, depending on your family’s financial situation. The amount of fees to be paid is also dependent on the teacher-client ratio in each class. The fees we collect are only a fraction of our operating costs per client, even for those who pay S$400 per month.
What does the fees cover?
The fees covers two-way transport, meals (tea-breaks & lunch), teaching materials and personalized help from our teachers.
Do we have to make any other payment
apart from the fees?
No, there is no other payment incurred.
Our family is not doing well financially,
can the fees be subsidized?
Yes, the fees we collect are only a fraction of our operating cost per client, even for those who pay S$400 per month. For those from needy families, we either charge a nominal fee or no fee at all. For a few families, we even send food parcels to them on a regular basis.
Is there any age limit?
No, there is no age limit for enrolment, as long as your child/ward has been assessed to be suitable for our programmes. However, we do encourage the caregivers of older individuals (>45 years old) to consider entrusting them into the care of a home for the aged/people with disabilities, if they do not have suitable caregivers (relatives or domestic helper).
Is there any graduation age at
COH?
No, there is no graduation at COH. Your child/ward can continue attending our day activity centre as long as he/she needs our service.
