Cash donations made on or after 1 Jan 2002 are double tax deductible.
What is ‘auto-inclusion of donations’
for individuals?
If you give donation as an individual donor and have given us your NRIC No. or FIN no. (for foreigners) at the point of donation, we will submit the donation details to IRAS directly and the donation will be included automatically in your tax assessment.
What do I need to do when I make
a donation?
As an individual donor, we need your name (according to your NRIC or FIN) and NRIC No. or FIN No. in order to issue tax-deductible receipts and forward your donation details to IRAS. We also need your mailing address so that we can mail to you the official receipt.
Apart from cash donations, what
other kinds of donations can I give?
We welcome donation in kind, e.g. rice, noodles, canned food and 3-in-1 beverages. As we serve tea-breaks and lunch, donation of these items help us reduce our expenditure.
How about donations from overseas?
Yes, we accept donations from overseas. Overseas donors can use the online donation portal provided by the National Council of Social Service. Click on this link :
