Emmanuel Activity Centre (EAC)
COH runs a day activity centre
called Emmanuel Activity Centre (EAC), serving people who
have:
Down’s syndrome
Intellectual disabilities
Autism spectrum disorder
Cerebral palsy
Multiple disabilities
Most of them are not able to find places in special schools, sheltered
workshops or find any gainful employment because of their age
and/or disabilities.
The EAC operates from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm (closed on
weekends and Public holidays). We group our clients according
to their disability types and functioning levels.

Teacher to client ratio
The teacher
to client ration varies from one teacher to two clients (1:2)
to one teacher to five clients (1:5). This is dependant on the
functional level of each client.

Fees
Normal monthly fees range from $250 to $400. This is dependant
on the teacher to client ratio and the financial situation of
the family. Clients from needy families are charged nominal fees
or no fees at all.
Note: The actual operational cost of taking care of one
client ranges from S$800 to S$1,700 per month.
Fees include: teaching materials, meals (tea breaks, snacks +
lunch), two-way transport (if applicable) and personalized help
from our instructors.
